EVENT TRENDS

Every Year there is always a number of trends that present themselves and affect all areas of design including events. As always the Marilyn Grace Team are keeping on top of the emerging trends. Today we have picked out a few of the top trends that will be sure to influence our events for the remaining months of 2013.

COLOUR

Metholescence . . . mean anything to you? 2013 brings with it a new word relating to colour. The hottest colours this year are all shades of green so think Emerald, Grayed Jade and Mint. Incorporate these greens into your event style. Invitation cards, lighting, balloons and lounge areas will welcome this beautiful palette.

Sustainability is a top objective for many of our clients at Marilyn Grace, so there won’t be a shortage to bring those beautiful greens to the forefront!

EASE

2012 brought with it some serious extremes and in your face trends, so this year is all about encompassing that relaxed feel. Tranquil and understated yet sophisticated environment is what we will be portraying in our clients projects this year. Even our clients with large-scale budgets will be staying away from throwing the flash and decadent events. Whilst they will never shy away from quality, all elements will have a purpose and relate to the objective of the event.

 

CATERING

Fresh is best for 2013. The garden to plate concept is really avant-garde this year. As we all know food is key at an event, generally saying it’s what people go home thinking about, so this years events will most definitely be bringing in the freshest of tastes.

If 2013 trends are making you anxious, fear not, the classic approach to an event is still in, even in an age where we congregate through social media and are open to much more than ever before. There is a renewed interest in classic styles modernized for the 21^st century. All of the old faithfuls are still about; just make sure they have that extra vavavoom to give it a new life.
