For those who love to love,
Valentines Day is the calendars most important day. And if you are one of these
people, what better way to spend it than with your loved one, having a decadent
dinner at home.
Here are some of our top
tips in creating a gorgeous table setting for you’re at home Valentine Day
dinner.
Let’s start with the table
itself, the smaller the better. Keep it intimate and cosy. You don’t want to be
sitting miles away from your loved one on Valentines Day.
The simplest things can be done to create a beautiful setting. Whether its love heart placemats on a beautiful ornate tablecloth or a rose wrapped in a napkin. There is no need to get too fancy. Yet keep in mind, a neutral pallet will highlight those extra details that you’ve spent hours and hours thinking about.

Napkin holders can be the means to making your table look elegant. You can keep it straightforward by using a thick silver band or even improvise your own holder out of ribbon. If the creativity is really flowing why not create some doily roses (its easier to craft than it looks).
Centrepieces are often the most important. Flowers are a good start – fantastic smells, beautiful colours and if you fancy doing a little bit of research, each flower has a meaning for example a pink Camellia means “Longing for you”.
Don’t forget candles!
Candles are a very important but forgettable detail. They always help to
consume the room in a soft and faltering light – creating a sensuous aura
around your centrepiece. Simplicity is often the greatest beauty.
I’m going to leave you with couple of little ideas.... As an enthusiast of scrabble, I’m all for exercising one’s vocabulary. Why not spell out how you feel about your loved one. If you have time, make cupcakes, they always make for a good desert, especially with some loving words on the icing!
